A Wrinkle In Time : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Go see A Wrinkle In Time.

I am speechless and need to see it again just to catch all the gems.

So many powerful themes are touched and addressed in this film.

As you venture to see it keep in mind that it is intended to appeal to a child’s experience and mindset not an adult who has it all figured out seemingly.

I won’t give away spoilers but here are some themes explored that may peak your interest to see the film.

The way Black children are villanaized and discarded in the school system when dealing with emotional trauma -especially as it relates to death and abandonment.

The very potent and intense outer body experience often had when you are exposed to emotional or physical harm repeatedly and consistently without much support from your surrounding network..

The struggle Black girls and Black women face often in having to prove that we are not aggressive or hostile or bitter but heartbroken and desperately looking for ways to self-protect after trauma.

Reawakening of a visceral sense of Faith and Love.

Believing in love beyond all the realities that we contrive as obstacles to vulnerability.

Forgiveness. Letting go and trying again.

If you’re in need of a good dose of inspiration purchase yourself two tickets so you can indulge and then indulge again.

The film touched me in more ways than I can explain. I am so grateful for filmmakers and changemakers like Ava DuVernay for consistently and relentlessly heeding to the call in their own spirit to share these stories with the world.
